These sammies put us on the map after a few years of experimenting with intense fruit sauces, cakes, and other baked goods. Since 2016, we've been all over Maine at farmers markets, events, and we briefly served out of our own ice cream window in Portland's West End. Then we set up shop running a bustling café at the Maine Coast Waldorf School for a time. Our true passion throughout has been perfecting our vegan and dairy ice cream formulations so that everyone (with or without dietary restrictions) can experience the delicious flavors of Maine.
In October of 2024, we opened our own retail scoop shop located at 175 Spring St in Portland, Maine! We’re thrilled to offer vegan and dairy pints, ice cream sandwiches, cookies and more. Our retail shop is currently open from 3:00pm - 6:00pm Friday - Sunday and it’s where you’ll find special small batch flavors and treats not sold elsewhere.
This is MaineFlavor’s first ever certifiable gluten free production space - a big step for us in expanding our wholesale business.
